Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 25 October 2026 · version 2026-10-27b

1. Who we are

Zaags (“Zaags”, “we”, “us”) is a software platform operated by RUDLU Unipessoal Lda, a company registered in Portugal (NIPC 516730304, registered office 27A Rua da Bela Vista à Graça, 1170-058 Lisboa, Portugal, e-mail contact@zaags.app), operator of zaags.app, zaags.com and related websites. By creating an account or using any of our websites (including zaags.app) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Zaags is (and isn’t)

Zaags provides software tools: a private AI workspace and a website builder that publishes bookable business websites. We provide the tools only. We are not a web-design agency, a marketing agency, a payment institution, an estate agency, an employer or a party to any agreement between a Designer and their client, between a business and its customers, or between an employer and its staff. The service is provided “as is”, without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

3. Accounts and acceptance

You sign in with a Google account (or, for website owners, an e-mail link) and are responsible for activity under it, for the accuracy of the information you provide, and for keeping your access secure. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. By continuing past the sign-in screen you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy; we record the date and the version you accepted. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Designers

A “Designer” is an independent user who builds and hands over websites for third-party businesses. Designers are independent contractors — not employees, agents or partners of Zaags — and must not present themselves as such.

5. Site owners & clients

A “Site Owner” is the business a website belongs to.

6. Payments, credits and your right of withdrawal

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Zaags to build, host or facilitate anything unlawful, or the categories listed in the Designer Rule Book (illegal activity; content harmful to or targeting minors; adult content accessible to minors; gambling; weapons, illegal drugs or regulated substances without authorisation; hate speech or incitement; fraud, phishing or malware; counterfeit goods or IP infringement). Fake reviews are forbidden: testimonials and reviews you publish must come from real customers; AI-written sample reviews offered by the editor are labelled as samples and must be replaced before you present them as genuine. We may remove any site or content and suspend any account for a breach, at our discretion. If an account is banned or terminated for a policy violation, any fees already paid are non-refundable and any remaining credit balance is forfeited (see section 6).

8. Intellectual property and your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload. Zaags keeps ownership of the platform, its software and its brand. Once a site is handed over, the Site Owner owns their site’s content, and the Designer must respect that ownership.

Your content, your responsibility. You may upload, post or share only content you created yourself or are legally entitled to use. It is strictly forbidden to post or re-post photos, videos, text, music or any other material that is not yours or for which you do not hold the necessary rights. You are personally and solely liable for everything you publish and you indemnify Zaags/RUDLU Unipessoal Lda against any copyright, trademark, privacy or other claim arising from it (section 11). We operate a notice-and-action process in line with the EU Digital Services Act: if you believe content on the platform infringes your rights or the law, write to contact@zaags.app with the location of the content, the reason and your contact details; we will act without undue delay, inform you of our decision, and may suspend or terminate repeat infringers. We do not monitor content generally.

AI-generated content. Text, images, logos, video and voices produced by our AI tools are generated for you by third-party models. You are responsible for checking them before use, for labelling AI-generated images, video or voices where the law requires it, and for not using them to mislead.

9. Data & privacy

We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law (including the GDPR). Each user is responsible for having a lawful basis for the personal data they collect through their own site, employee-attendance tool or CRM, and for that site’s own privacy and cookie notices. Where we process such data for you, our Data Processing Agreement applies.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zaags/RUDLU Unipessoal Lda is not liable for: the acts, omissions or work of any Designer or Site Owner; disputes between a Designer and a client; the content, availability, bookings or orders of any published site; employment decisions taken using the attendance tool; lost profits or indirect or consequential loss; or failures of third-party services (Google, Stripe, AI providers, hosting). Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including statutory consumer rights.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Zaags/RUDLU Unipessoal Lda against claims arising from your use of the service, the content you publish, your breach of these Terms, or (for Designers) your dealings with your clients.

12. Termination and deleting your account

Either party may stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account yourself from My account: after a 7-day grace period everything we hold is erased, except billing records we must keep by law. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these Terms. Sites whose subscription lapses may be suspended or removed.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes are notified in the app or by e-mail, and the version number above changes. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Portugal, and the competent Portuguese courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Consumers in Portugal may use the electronic complaints book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico) and, in the event of a dispute, may turn to an alternative dispute resolution body — for example the CNIACC (Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo) or the centre competent for your area, listed by the Direção-Geral do Consumidor — or the EU online dispute resolution platform.

15. Listings marketplace — advertiser & user terms

These additional terms apply when you publish or browse property listings on Zaags Listings and form part of these Terms. By publishing a listing you accept them.

16. Referral programme

A user who introduces a business to Zaags and passes it over for Zaags to design (“referrer”) may earn a referral fee of 25% of the design fee actually collected by RUDLU Unipessoal Lda for that site, once that fee has been paid. The fee is shown in the referrer’s dashboard, is paid against the referrer’s invoice (or receipt), and the referrer is responsible for their own taxes on it. A referral is not employment, agency or partnership; referrers must not make promises on Zaags’s behalf. We may change or end the programme for future referrals with notice.

17. Automated decisions

We use automated checks (content safety, fraud and abuse detection, payment risk, attendance anomalies flagged to an employer) to keep the service safe. Where an automated decision significantly affects you — for example a suspended listing or account — you can ask us at contact@zaags.app for a human review and explain your point of view.
